Stake Conference Sep 6-7
Dear members of the Sammamish Valley Washington Stake,
We invite you to attend our upcoming stake conference, which will be held on Saturday, September 6 and Sunday, September 7. Elder Takashi Wada, the General Authority currently serving as president of the North America West Area, will preside at the conference. Elder Wada will be accompanied by Elder Jared Spataro, our newly called Area Seventy.
Under the direction of Elder Wada, a new stake presidency will be called during this upcoming stake conference. We very much hope that all who are able will join us in-person at the stake center on Sunday, September 7, to sustain the new stake president and his counselors and to hear the inspiring messages that will be shared during the meeting. An email with additional details, including Zoom links for those who cannot attend in person, will be sent the week before the stake conference.
As usual, there will be four sessions of stake conference, but please note the updated start times for the Saturday sessions as they have been moved up one hour. All meetings will be at the stake center (10115 172nd Ave., Redmond), as follows:
Saturday, September 6
● 3pm Leadership Session: This meeting is for all adults who serve in organization or quorum presidencies (including secretaries), bishoprics (including clerks and executive secretaries), seminary teachers, and members of the high council.
● 6pm Adult Session: We invite all adult members and friends to attend Saturday evening.
Sunday, September 7
● 8am Youth Session: All youth are invited to attend at the stake center.
● 10am General Session: We invite all members and friends to attend the general session of stake conference.
We very much look forward to once again meeting together as a stake and being edified by the messages that will be shared. The messages will focus on Jesus Christ and His role as author and finisher of our faith.
With love and gratitude,
Jacob Sowby, Stake President
Adam Powell, First Counselor
Bryon Christensen, Second Counselor
